Wakefield Florists Society

This Society was formed in 1807 holding its fist show for Auriculas in 1807. Its interest in other florists’ flowers grew until it was holding five shows per annum, Auricula, Tulip, Pinks, Carnations and Dahlias. In 1872 it changed its name to Wakefield Amateur Tulip Society.
