The title of the Society for this show had replaced Florists with Floral and Horticultural though the schedule of classes appears to be identical with the previous year’s show and both were held at the Music Saloon.
One intriguing flower is the fifth placed, Feathered Bizzard (Bizarre) shown by John Gill, ‘Needham’s Cow’. This could not have had any connection with our former President Charles Needham who wasn’t born until about 30 year’s later, and what a strange name for a Tulip.
