MIDLAND FLORIST 1861
MIDLAND FLORIST
1861

Described only as a Wakefield Tulip Show by the Midland Florist which also published the details of the Eastmoor show for that year.
Note in the successfully shown breeders, Juliet, raised by William Willison of Whitby who also raised Sir Joseph Paxton. Juliet is still shown in the 21st Century but only successful as a breeder flower where it is arguably the best.

This was the first recorded show to be held at the Brunswick Hotel a  decade or more before it became the headquarters of the Society.
