This show is believed to be the third annual Auricula and Polyanthus show held by the Wakefield Florists Society at the Grand Stand, Outwood, Wakefield.
The weather had been inclement as usual but the flowers were greatly admired by visitors to the show but also by the curious. It is not known what other events might have been held at the Grand Stand on the day of the show, or were these ‘curious’ just passers-by?
