Gardeners’ Gazette
1844

This is a Pink show with the usual Exhibitors.  Amazingly, the person who had sent the report to the Gazette was George Pearson, who was the owner or landlord of the Royal Oak Inn where the Florist Society’s shows were held over several years. He states when sending the report that he is the Secretary and this is the first occasion where it has been suggested that he was in any way connected with the Society.
