Proposed J Akers, seconded N.H Eyre that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved.

Apologies were received from Messrs W Markham, &

A.T Meens.

Correspondence. A letter was read from Mr H.W.

Mallpress of Warwick, who intended to be at our Show at Thornes on May 21st.

A letter was received from Mr J.W. Midgley, regretting that he could not come to the show

& judge as his wife had been taken seriously ill. The secretary was asked to reply.

Arising from Mr Midgley’s letter was the question of a judge for the English classes, A Mr J

Akers proposed & Mr Eyre seconded that the secretary write to Mr Garfield Hunt to see if he would undertake the judging.

It was agreed that an ad advert costing about

10/- should be inserted in the Wakefield Express

advertising the show at Thornes W.M. Club on

Saturday 21st May 1960.

A raffle realised 7/-, the meeting closed at 8-0 PM.
