The Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved

Matters arising as some points were to be discussed on the agenda it was left over.

Correspondence A letter was read from Victor Roozen thanking the Society for a good show and Dinner he also enclosed a copy of the photo which

Mr James Akers had mounted on large boards at the show asking for names of people looking at a bed of Tulips. The photo was labelled with all the names of the people. Mr Roozen asked if he could have a copy of the photo of the show which was held at the Brunswick Hotel (Mr Akers offer to have a copy printed) The President sent a letter of thanks for a splendid evening he spent with the members on show day. A letter as received from Stan Knowles enclosing £25 a donation from the sale of plants. The chairman

SHOW REPORT a copy of the report had been distributed to the members The members discussed the pros and cons for a two day show and came to the conclusion that on the 2nd day the blooms were past their best and also that it was not a good proposition to hold shows for 2 days.

At this years show the blooms had to be given away because most of the visitor left the room soon as it was announced that there would be a ????? Dispite that the show and the Dinner broke even. the Chairman Thanked all the mambers for their efforts to make the weekend a success. He Thanked Jane L Eyre for Judging the show along with John Hardman.

K. N. Eyre asked if it would be in order to award a cash prize for the most points in the show Mr F.R. Perkins that were not giving the spec special prize any moe=re due to the business being taken over by a large Jewellers and had stopped their support. As this is the 150th show Mr Eyre felt ath a momento of the ocation should be given. This was put to the members the chairman stated that FR Prkins gave £15 worth of goods and proposed that £15 should be given to buy some glassware the proposal was C?????

BULB ORDERS No Members wished to buy bulbs for Parkers this year. bulbs were promised to members who required English Tulips and would be brought to the next meeting
