A meeting of the Committee was held on
Monday the 7th April 1913.
Present – J Hardwick (chairman), J Wright,
H Gill, J Taylor, W Tunnicliffe, Arthur Whiteman,
George W Mitchell and I Whitworth
Two new members Arthur Whiteman
(Tulips) and G W Mitchell (Ferns) were welcomed
The minutes of previous meeting
were read and passed.
The question of Tradesmen’s prizes
was again discussed & it was reported
that three were already promised & more were expected.
The prospects of the season were
Commented on generally, special reference
being made to the damaging effects
of recent bleak east and north east winds on
the Tulip plants.
The sum 17/6 was received further
on account of Entrance fees.
