The Secretary read a letter from Mr C W Needham
of Hale informing us of the death of our President
J. W. Bentley on March 10th at Stakehill House
Stakehill, Castleton M/C
This was a great surprise to all. It was the first
intimation we heard of it & much regret was that our society
Could not be Represented at the funeral
A Vote of Condolence was sent to Mrs Bentley & Family
Snow came very heavy on sunday the March Meeting
Nobody turned up only the Secretary
Date of next Show was fixed for May 24th unanimously
proposed by Robt Robinson seconded by A Burrell
