Meeting [read] held at headquarters, commencing at 6-45, our President FR Hunter taking the chair. Other members present were

Mr Akers, Mr Beddows, Mr Ayre, Mr Mouter, Mr Baxendale, Mr Tear, Mr Butterworth, Mr W Robinson, Mr Reg Robinson, along with the Treasurer Mr Robshaw, & Secretary Mr Hunt

Minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed, & duly signed by FR Hunter Esq.

It was reported by the Secretary that a check for £12-12s-0d had been duly sent to Clayton Hospital.

It was decided , after a long discussion, not to alter Class 9, which shall still read.

Pan of 3 Rectified or Stages Class,

1 Breeder 1 Feathered & 1 Flamed, must be of one colour, ie all Biz, or all Biblomen, or all Roses, Preference given to bloom as above if of same name, & quality.

It was proposed by Mr J Mouter, sec Mr Akers that the society run a Ledger Draw prizes to be £5-0s-0d, £3-0s-0d, £1-0s-0d and 5/- for each runner, the Normanton section of the society expressing their willingness to give every possible help in this effort.

It was also decided to hold alternate shows at Horbury and Normanton besides our annual show. The object of this being to promote interest in other districts.

The first of these shows to be held in Horbury in 1944 date to be fixed each year according to condition of bloom.

Mr FR Hunter was asked to obtain estimates for Black Italian Cloth for covering tables & staging etc.

The following were elected to membership of the Society. Mr L R Sutcliffe, Miss J Hunt, Mr Siddall, Mr E Hammond, & Mr R Robinson

Decided date of next meeting to be left to our Secretary

On the proposition of Mr Akers, sec Mr Baxendale it was carried that no member shall show in Novice Class who has ever won a Cup of any description in any class at our Tulip Shows.
