Minutes of last meeting were read & confirmed.
It was decided to hold our 108th annual show, on Sat & Sunday 13th & 14th of May 1944 at headquarters.
Nr R Robinson, Mr Beddows & Mr Midgly, were appointed judges for annual show, with Mr Prest, Mr Downing, & Mr Tear to assist, with a view to gaining further knowledge. It was carried that proceeds from show be given to Clayton Hospital again. Also decided to invite Mayor of Wakefield
Mr Hopkinson & the Mayoress to open show accompanied by the deputy Mayor & Mayoress Mr & Mrs FW Stott. Decided that the sum of £5_0-0 be granted out of Society’s funds to-wards the Horbury
Show, to be held on May 20th & 21st, proceeds from sale of flowers at Horbury Show, be given to Horbury Nursing Association. Mr Baines to open Horbury Show, introduced by one of our vice-chairmen Mr G Senior.
Entry fee for Horbury Show, 3d per class, or 2/- all round.
