The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.

Correspondence The Insurance Company had increased the premium to £33.19 less Commission £4.98. Th Meeting aggreed to pay

Mr James Akers handed over two letters from Mrs Earnshaw the wife of John Earnshaw who had died the letters contained 2 cheques amounting to £60

The secretary was asked to send a letter of thanks and condolence to Mrs Earnshaw. the money had been collected at the funeral

150th Annual Show

Mr J. L. Akers Proposed that the show should be held over 2 days this year It was XXXXX seconded by A Harper. As the date could not be fix it was left over to the next meeting

As this was going to be a special ocation The Secretary asked if the members were in favour of holding a Dinner on the Saturday Night.

The meeting discussed this and Mr James Akers was asked to approach Holmfield House and Swallow Hotel for menus and prices.

Judges The Secretary was asked to contact Bill Tear to see if he was willing to Judge the English Classes. Failing that John Hardman and a team of members would judge.

PRIZE CARDS The Question was asked if it would be possible to have printed some card with 150th Show record on them. Mr A Hayward said that the price would be too costly. The Secretary aggred to look at the possibility of over printing.

PUBLICITY James Akers volunteers to contact the Wakefield Express and the Garden News.

VASES AND BOTTLES This was left over till the next meeting.

SCHEDULE After some discussion over the definition of desimalar it was agreed that the sl???? of 12 Recified English that Flanel and Feathered of the same variety could be shown also could be made up with two of the same variety but preference would be given of 12 varieties of equal quality.

K.N. Eyre asked if the time as right to introduce a new class 12 breeder of 4 from varieties from each colour making 12 different varieties. This was seconded by James Akers and the meeting approved

Mr Akers offered the prize money.

Stan Knowles The chairman gave a vote of thanks to Stan for a Trophy to be awarded to the best bloom in the Extra open classes

The meeting closed at 9.45pm
