The minutes of the last ordinary meeting held 12th June 1973 were read & confirmed
A letter was read for Miss B D Snape of
Yorkaccepting office of Vice President, & from
Mr S Knowles regretting he was not able to attend but asking to be kept informed of events. Mr Knowles also donated a writing set for the Annual Show raffle & Mr Emmett a prize of Towels. Further prizes were donated as follows
50 cigarettes Mr C Marsh
1 Bottle of Sherry Mr K N Eyre
1 Box of biscuits Mr J G Hardman
½ lb Tea Mr C Harrison
It was agreed to distribute raffle tickets at at the Annual General Meeting that only the Annual Show should be held this year
The date & Opener & Judges to be decided at the next meeting to be held in four weeks time.
The Secretary announced that he would like to record the names of the winning varieties in each of the English Classes along with the names of the winning exhibitors
It was agreed that names should be placed alongside typical blooms for the purpose of identification & Mr Hardman agreed to bring cards on which their names could be displayed.
It was agreed that show Show schedules typed for us by Mr Lear & left over from last year should be used this year some of these to be sent to prospective exhibitors who lived out of the district together with a news letter which would be sent to all members.
A raffle for chocolates donated by Mr Hardman realised £1.05p
