Arising out of the minutes the secretary said he had received no reply from Mr Harper
(Durham) who had been made a member.
Before the meeting commenced Mr Beddows asked all present to stand for a moment in memory of Mrs Arnold (Licensee of the Horse
& Jockey Altofts who had died the previous week. A wreath had been sent from the Society

Annual Show for (a vase of flowers not necessarily Tulips) decoration allowed. Entries to be taken up to 7 pm. The following prizes were promised 1st £1 Mr Beddows

3rd 5/- Mr N Eyre
The secretary distributed booklets on the growing & raising of English Tulips dated 1897
100 of which he had received gratis from Messrs Barrr’s London.
Two members Messrs Bell & Prest ordered English Tulips from Messrs Barrs through the Secretary
The secretary gave 3 lots of Bulbs & Mr Beddows 1 lots for a raffle which were won as follows.
