Sec W Beddows meeting be accepted as a true record.
Show Report the secretary gave a report on the two shows & stated that they had held their own financially this year, He also reported that except for Messrs Akers Tear & Beddows
& Mr Markham who had helped both days at the Altofts Show other members were not interested in it. Mr Hunter suggested it be held at Horbury next year. He also affirmed that the room at the Thornes Club would be available for the Society next year
The Perkin’s Cup to be discussed at the A G M.
It was moved W Beddow sec HV Calvert that £2-2-0 be paid to the Thornes Club
Committee & that the Chocolates not won at Altofts Show be given to the landlady to raffle for the Childrens Fund.
Raffle realised 8/6 after paying 2/6 for room

Nov 3rd 1958 Jockey Hotel (Northgate) Wakefield.
Members of the Society met Mr Tony Iveson correspondent of the "Garden News" for the purpose of giving him information of the Old English Tulip
He had taken photographs for his paper of Mr Beddows & Mr E H Robinson during the morning
& afternoon. He was provided with papers & photographs (very old & new) which were in the possession of the Secretary & Mr Midgley of Salterhebble
An article with photographs was published later in the paper.
