The minutes of the last meeting were approved
The following arrangements were made in connection with the 138th Annual Show at the Duke of York Hotel on Saturday 18th May 1974, to be officially opened by our President Mr A L Hunter at 7.30pm & opened to the public at 7.00pm. Judge for Old English

C Marsh, & the Secretary to prepare the show on
Friday evening 17th of May Mr Akers & Mr Hardman to see to vases & Mr Harrison provide white paper for the tables.
Mr Akers intimated that Mr G W Gray had accepted a Vice Presidency & asked the secretary to send schedules etc & an invitation to the Show from 3.30 onwards as inconvenient.
It was agreed that the posters advertising the Show should be prepared by the Secretary & Mr C Marsh volunteered to collect and distribute them. The Secretary announced that the long awaited booklets had been promised for delivery on Friday 3rd May. It was agreed that each member should receive one copy free & the price for none members should be fixed when we have the cost of production.
A raffle for chocolates donated by Mr Hardman realised 90p
Raffle tickets were distributed to members present to be sold at 5 for 5p
The meeting closed at 8.15pm
