Matters arising —None
Correspondence A letter was read from Victor Roozen of Holland of a bulb grower asking about the date of our annual show also about the English Florist Tulip in general. The Secreatry had delt with this. There was also a letter from the Sun Alliance & London Insurance Group informing the Society that the policy for the silver cups had been increased to £12.25 against £9.80 last year. It was proposed by B Carr and seconded by R B Green that we pay the new rates.
New Members A letter had been received from J L Howarth of Bradbury Cheshire asking about membership that apropate form had been sent to him.
Opener As no date for the show were arranged it was felt that an opener could not be approached
Judges This was also left to the next meeting
Schedules — Same as last year. Mr C Heptonstall offered to bring some cards for naming the varieties on the show bench
Vases The Secretary was asked to write to the NCB at Barnsley for the use of the vases again.
Raffle Prizes 9 members offered prizes. Mr Akers offered 25 Breeders to the person who sold the most raffle tickets.
Sunday Times Photos The Sunday Times offered a 8" x 10" colour photo of any which were published for £5 each.
Vote of Thanks was given by C Harrison and seconded by RB Green to K N Eyre Hon Sec for distributing the XXX Tulip Prints to members.
It was suggested that the society should send a get well card to the Mrs Walker of Royston
