The minutes of the last meeting were read & confirmed.
Apologies for unavoidable absence were received from Mrs H. Townsend, Messrs A. Tear, J. Hardman,
R. Hunt & R.A. Walker.
A letter was brought by Mr W.D. Tear from Mr B.R. Cuzner, a director of Marinure Seaweed Products, who showed some of Mr Tears tulip slides to the Tottenham & District Garden’s Society. One of the lady members would like to procure some of our old English tulips & was advised to join our Society. So far the we had not had an application & it was decided to await further events.
Correspondence was received from the R.H.S. enclosing receipt for our affiliation, & tickets for Chelsea & Autumn Shows & also to Wisley Gardens. It was decided to state on next years schedules that these tickets were available to our members.
The Secretary was asked to write to Mr & Mrs S Bradley at the Jockey Hotel, Altofts, confirming the date of our forthcoming Show, & was also asked to seek publicity in the Coal News.
Mrs Townsend sent a brochure describing trips to the Lincoln Dutch bulbfields. This was examined by members, but no decision was made.
100 1,700 raffle tickets were distributed to members present for sale for the two shows be at 5 for 1/-/ & prizes were donated as follows.
