Blight (Tulip fire) struck the beds of many of the exhibitors this year but still over 1000 blooms were exhibited.
‘Sir Joseph Paxton’ flamed was again the Premier Bloom and also shown was ‘Talisman’, the first year that this has been spotted in these reports.
