This show was held by the Wakefield Floral Society just one week after that held by the Eastmoor Society and with many of the exhibitors who were present there. It is interesting that the Society Secretary was named as Mr A Holmes suggesting therefore that this Society rather than that from Eastmoor is the link between the first show in 1807 and the Tulip Society of the 21st Century.
Please note the flower which gained sixth place as a flamed bizarre, Charles X, for which Royal Sovereign, shown today but mainly as a feathered flower, is a synonym.
