The Annual Meeting of
this Society was held at the Borough
Market, Brunswick Hotel, Wakefield
on Monday the 4th November 1907
present
William Mellor, Jesse Hardwick,
Alfred Moorhouse, Irving Whitworth,
Joseph Wright and John Taylor
Mr Hardwick resigned his position
as Honorary Secretary to the
Society after a service of 25 years
and appreciation of his long services
and the unanimous thanks of the
Committee were rendered to him on the
proposition of Mr Mellor and seconded
by Mr Moorhouse.
The election of officers for the
ensuring year was next made resulting
as follows —
Chairman — Mr Mellor
Vice Chairman — Mr Joseph Wright
Hon. Treasurer — Mr Moorhouse
Hon. Secretary — Mr Whitworth
and the Committee to consist of all the exhibiting members of the Society.
The question of permitting professional
gardeners to exhibit along with the
amateurs was raised by Mr Moorhouse
and after discussion it was decided
to defer the matter for the Present
