Correspondence was read from the Marquis of Hartington accepting our invitation to be a Vice President intimating that he would be pleased to "open" our next Annual Show if sufficient notice can be given
An account from Siddalls Printers Cleckheaton for £64.20 Also the cost of the booklets was passed for immediate payment. It was agreed to change non members 25p each.
The Secretary submitted a report on the 138th Annual Show showing a net profit of £13.16 & this was accepted.
Following a discussion it was agreed that more posters advertising the Show should be circulated next year & suggested that the Secretary should be able to get blank posters from John Smiths Brewery.
It was regretted we were not able to find a suitable venue for an Early Show at Altofts & Mr C Marsh intimated that the Portabello Hotel may be available. He agreed to make further enquiries.
Mr Marsh rea raised several queries about old English Tulips which were then discussed & which
Mr N H Eyre successfully explained.
