The minutes of the last meeting was read & confirmed
Corrispondance was then read & accepted.
Arising out of corrispondance, a lengthy discussion took place, re- sending two delegates to represent our society at the Chelsea Show. Mr J Akers volentered to be one delegate, providing another was choosen at our next meeting. Pro & seconded that secretary write to Sec of RH Society to see if he could recommend some place for bed and breakfast for two nights for our 2 delegates. Decided to ask the Mayor to open our 112th Annual Show in 1948
Our President undertook to interview Mr West, manager of EP Shaws, with a view to hiring 20 tables complete with tresels for our show.
Sec to obtain particulars off the Custom & Exise officers re our charging 6d for admission to show.
Mr Beddows Mr Midgley & Mr Robinson were appointed judges for our English Florist Classes & Mr WG Robertson for Darwin Classes. Sec to write Mr Edwin Stephenson sec of Ossett & Horbury Chg’s Society, for permission to borrow or hire a quantity of vases for our Show. It was decided to alter time from 3-15 to 3-30 for blooms to be staged on Show day. Show to be opened by Mayor at 7PM, & Doors opened at 6-30. Pro & seconded that Mr W Beddows be the price fixer for blooms for sale on gift table, he being in sole charge.
It was resolved to hold a raffle at Annual Show
Carried that Sec obtain 200 Schedules, 50 Posters, 50 Complimentary Tickets for Show. Mr Hunter was instructed to order 30 Teas for Show day,& make arrangments for tea & biscuits to be obtained any part of evening at Show.
