Correspondence The Secretary read a letter from a firm of Solicitors saying one of our Vice President had passed away, Dr Ingson

Show Report

The Secretary reported that the show had been a great success again the year with more members entring. On the finance side the show made a profit of £38.79 At this poit of the meeting J L Akers proposed that the Socirty should pay for the engraving of the Trophies second by J N Gibson at vote was taken at the proposal was carried.

J L Akers also proposed that there should be classes to encourage members to show in the open section and not be beaten by the more experienced growers. after a long discussion it was aggred that 3 New classes should be added next year with the restriction that only a number who have not been awarded 2 first Prizes in class 8/18 over the last 2 years may attract The classes one for 1 Breeder 1 Flower 1 Feathered J Harland second. a vote was taken an it was carried

S Knowles Mr Stan Knowles donated £25 to the Society from the sale of plants. Our chairman thanked him for his generosity and told the meeting that mr Knowles had also given similar amounts to Barnsly Dahlia

A Raffle made £1.20 there were mushroom given by J Hardman
