That minutes of previous meeting be accepted as a true record.
The secretary read out various letters received. One from a gentlemen at Manchester
University J W Bedford Esq asking for particulars of the date of the Annual Show which unfortunately had passed before letter was received. One from Eva S Greaves sending thanks & an invitation to visit her garden if any member ever in her district. A further letter from
Sacheverell Sitwell & one from the artist Rory
McEwen saying flowers had arrived in good condition. The President had received one via the Mayor of Wakefield from a Mr Harper in Durham to which he had replied offering to make him a member The Secretary had also received one from him but had not yet replied to him.

Annual Shows
The show at Altofts had this year produced a slight profit due to the shortage of bloom for the Saturday night sales

Altofts Show be accepted.
The Annual Show at Whinney Moor The Thornes Club showed at net Profit of 19/9. The attendance was not too good, sale of raffle tickets, had been neglected but the sale of bloom had exceeded all expectations. The Salesman Mr E H
Robinson was very efficient. It was agreed that the loss on teas £1-2-6 be accepted.
It was moved W Beddows sec AT Meens That this report be accepted & that the Thornes Club
Committee be sent £2-2-0 as usual.
Next Meeting end of July be called for the purpose of ordering Tulip Bulbs from Barrs.
A Raffle of 2 4s Paxton Flames & eggs realised
