The minutes of the last meeting were read & confirmed.
Correspondence was read from Mr F. Smith accepting our invitation to judge the Dutch classes at our forthcoming shows
A Letter was read from St John’s terrace W.M. Club granting us the use of their room & asking for particulars of show dates. The secretary to reserve
30 doz plain half pint bottles & to include the show in their announcement in the press.
A letter was read from Mr G. Hunt regretting his absence owing to illness. The secretary was asked to reply.
A letter was read from Home Gardener & Smallholder asking for our show dates for inclusion in their coming events column. The secretary was asked to prov provide them with all particulars.
Show dates. It was proposed by Mr A Tear, seconded
Mr Akers that the Altofts show be held on the
16th & 17th of May & the Annual Show at Normanton
St John’s WM Club on Saturday 23rd May.
Mr Hardman agreed to arrange for table tops, vases etc & Mr Hunter to assist with the transport.
It was agreed that the Society should provide two prizes to be raffled at the Normanton show, one to be bought behind the bar.
Mr Tear agreed to take a voucher for 2 gns in lieu of the Gold Medal which he won last year & the secretary was asked to make arrangements with Perkins.

The next meeting to be held in two weeks time 27th April & the secretary was instructed to bring Schedules & raffle tickets for distribution.
