The minutes of the last meeting were read

& confirmed.

A letter was read from Rory McEwen asking the secretary if he would consider writing a monograph on the Florists tulip to accompany illustration which Mr McEwen would like to paint of tulips held by members of the Society.

The secretary said he would like to have a go at the monograph subject to the approval of the members. This approval was given unanimously including promise of any assistance as long as they were not involved financially. Assurance

was The secretary assured members on this point.

Show reports. Reports of the two recent shows were presented by the secretary. These were approved except that £1-0-0 prize money returned by

Mr Akers should be included in the Show account.

Mr Hardman reported that 6 vases were missing from the annual show. It was agreed that these should be replaced or paid for by the tulip society.

Mr Hardman said he would make further enquires in case any had turned up at the club before further action was taken.

A discussion was held about the venue for next years shows but nothing conclusive was reached. The secretary was asked to write for de Jagers catalogue & call the next meeting when it arrived. A raffle realised 9/-.
