Meeting opened 6-45 with a good attendance of members. The President FR Hunter being in the chair. Minutes of last meeting were read& confirmed.
Corrispondance was then read & accepted.
Decided to leave on the table an appeal from the Mayoress for clothing etc for air-raid damaged homes in London. Mr EH Robinson gave a lecture on Tulips, dealing with suitable land , drainage etc, growing period
Flowers for showing, inoculation & breeding,& period after flowering before lifting, also the history of tulips from the 16th Century. A vote of thanks was recorded to Mr EH Robinson for the able way he had given his lecture. Passed that a letter of regret or protest at there being some heat in our meeting room, be sent to Mr Siddall the worthy host of our headquarters. Pleasing to notice several new members present. Decided that next meeting be on Jan 13th 1945, to discuss Society’s Funds
