It is very clear from the exhibitors mentioned that this was a special show indeed and immediately brings to mind the Great Northern Tulip Shows which were held around this period. No record has been found within any Society documentation that such a show was held in Wakefield, however a letter to the Midland Florist in 1850 confirms that such a show was held and therefore confirms the supposition.
