Originally this Tulip show outside of Wakefield, albeit close-by at Heath, was thought to be a Society Show as newspaper reports found showed all the exhibitors were ‘the usual suspects’, (with the same classes), who then exhibited the following Monday at the Annual Show. However when a report was obtained from the Gardeners’ Gazette of 1840, it was shown to be the first show of the Heath Florists’ Society. No reports from subsequent shows have been found.
